We have relocated to Murdoch’s Backyard (18541 Mueschke Rd.) and are becoming a primarily outdoor worshiping community. Our first worship at Murdoch's will be this Sunday 6/5 at 9:30 a.m. We are grateful for your patience as we take some time to experiment with liturgy and space to learn what works well in our new location.
We are incredibly excited about our partnership with Murdoch's, who supports the mission, ministry, and direction this congregation is headed. Our values align which will create greater opportunities to make an impact on this community we serve.
While this new move will bring about new challenges and questions we do not yet have the answers to, it will also bring about new opportunities to see God at work in this world.
Welcome to long time Lutherans, Christians from every tradition, and people new to the faith. Welcome to all who have no church home, want to follow Christ, have doubts, or do not believe. Welcome to people of every age and size, color and culture, gender identity, sexual orientation and marital status, disability, ability, and challenge.
Welcome to believers, questioners, and questioning believers. This is a place where you are welcome to: celebrate and struggle, rejoice and recover. This is a place where lives are made new.
Celebration is a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation. This means we welcome, affirm, and celebrate people and households of all sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions in every part of our life as church together. We recognize the wonderful blessings that lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual/aromantic (LGBTQIA+) people contribute through gifts for hospitality, teaching, administration, service, leadership, music, and ministry, and support the expression and development of these gifts within our community and the larger church.
Hey, I am Ryan Dockery. I serve as the Pastor at Celebration Church. Celebration is one of the most unique congregations I have ever been a part of. Here is a place where authenticity is welcomed and celebrated. You are loved for who God has created you to be. We may not take ourselves too seriously, but we do take serious our mission to make a big impact in the community of Cypress. As the only open and affirming congregation in town, we strive to create an inclusive space where all truly are welcome.
