Celebration family,

On Wednesday, March 22, Pastor Ryan and I learned that Murdoch’s owners, Rick and Gwen, have made the decision to close Murdoch’s Backyard Pub on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Rick and Gwen will be working on a new business venture with the space and are allowing Celebration to continue worshiping as we have been. We are ever so grateful for their gift of hospitality as they have allowed us to co-inhabit their restaurant space and beautiful property, and we look forward to continuing to serve the Northwest Houston area and beyond.

The ministry team met last week to brainstorm questions we have, both immediate and for the future. Over the coming weeks, we plan to have more purposeful discussions with the ministry team in order for us to create a better vision for the future. During this time, we ask that you reach out to either Pastor Ryan or me with any specific questions or concerns you might have.

We will still gather at Murdoch’s for worship each Sunday, and we plan to have Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, and Easter Sunday services at Murdoch’s as well. The ministry team has made the decision to cancel the Easter Saturday event, but we will still hold our annual Easter egg hunt after Easter Sunday's service.

As we enter into the season of Easter, we can count on one simple fact. God has a plan, and He is moving, now and always! In Him, we put our faith and trust.
